Gulfstream G800 made first trans-Atlantic flight
Newest Gulfstream aircraft – ultralong-range G800 – made its first flight on June, 28th. And now, just few weeks later, it flew from Savannah (Georgia) to British city of Farnborough to join International Airshow. The Gulfstream test team completed few important tasks during the flight: such as conducting eight hours plus flight, operating at maximum speed of 0,925 Mach and at maximum altitude of 15 545 meters.
The testing program for Gulfstream G800 is still going on, but it is official already that in general mode of flight, not in extreme testing regime, the airplane is capable of covering more than 14 800 km at 0,85 Mach and almost 13 000 km at 0,90 Mach.
