EBACE: “big trio” news

European Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition (EBACE) took place in Palexpo in Geneva in May. It was the first offline event after two pandemic years. Grands of the industry – Dassault, Bombardier and Gulfstream – have prepared some interesting news for the show.

Dassault

The French company Dassault announced start of the newest Falcon 6X world-wide promo tour at EBACE. It went on for a month and included 150 flight hours with 40 stops. The tour consisted of long distance 10-12 hours flights as well as of short flights through Europe, South and North America, Asia, Middle East and Africa. It was conducted by several pilots, flight attendants, technical specialists and aircraft interior designers, during the tour they evaluated the aircraft according to the list of 250 points. It was the fourth unit of Falcon 6X that took a promo tour, the same that was shown at EBACE 2022.

Besides, Dassault presented its new project in Geneva – Dassault Privacy Suite. This is the suit with sliding doors, a passenger feels maximum comfort behind them if it comes to have a nap or just spend some time in privacy. The suite is designed for Falcon 8X and Falcon 6X. It will be equipped with extra comfortable seats 22 and 24 inches wide respectively.

Bombardier

The Canadian company presented new Global 8000 at EBACE. This business jet is announced to be the fastest, the most long-range and most safe for health. Initially Global 8000 was expected to cover 8000 nautical miles at maximum speed of 0,94 Mach, but during the flight tests held along with NASA F/A-18 military aircraft the newest Bombardier exceeded the speed up to 1,015 Mach easily. So Global 8000 is the fastest civil airplane now since Concord’ times.

Global 8000 is the single business jet in the industry with four zones cabin and new passengers’ health care system. It includes Pur Air – air conditioning and purifying system developed by Bombardier – and circadian lightning which helps to eliminate fatigue during the flight.

Global 8000 enters into service in 2025. Owners of Global 7500 will be able to upgrade their aircraft up to Global 8000.

Gulfstream

Gulfstream looked modest next to the rivals, but the news from American company were quite promising. The newest Gulfstream G700 test program is in the full swing, the first aircraft has already flown 2800 hours. The company is about to present the second G700 to the clients very soon to work out and improve all the new ideas together, mostly regarding the interior and entertainment and service systems.

The next big thing coming from Gulfstream was about improvement service center in Farnborough (UK). Now it is officially the most modern Gulfstream’s maintenance station that is able to service 13 aircraft simultaneously. Besides, there is a call center based in Farnborough now where clients and operators can get a consultation weather they have a question about avionics or engines maintenance.
